The writer's strike has officially started in Hollywood after weeks of negotiations. In order for a strike to have an effect, industry professionals have to voice their support, so everyone from every movie and TV show shares the same concern. The Cobra Kai team announced that they will be part of the strike and that no additional words will be written on season 6 until an agreement has been reached.

Showrunner Jon Hurwitz took to Twitter to inform fans and readers that season 6 of Cobra Kai is officially on hold and no writers will be present on set. In his post, he declared full support for his fellow writers on Cobra Kai and other shows. He also used the Cobra Kai mantra "Strike first, strike hard" to announce they were supporting the strike.

"We hate to strike," Hurwitz said. "But if we must, we strike hard. Pencils down in the Cobra Kai writers room No writers are on set. These aren't fun times, but they're unfortunately necessary. The moment a fair deal is in place, we'll get back to kicking asses. In the meantime, send strength and support to the negotiating committee. You've got this. #WGA #WGAstrong #writersstrike."

Cobra Kai season 6 is set to be the final season of the show that follows up to the classic martial arts movie The Karate Kid. Ralph Macchio and William Zabka reprising their role as Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence.
