Recently, Netflix announced that there would be a sixth and final season of Cobra Kai. The show moved from YouTube to Netflix, where it has gained popularity, continuing the Karate Kid saga.

Cobra Kai is the spinoff or continuation of the Karate Kid film franchise, taking place 34 years after the events of the original movie. The first season focused on the rivalry between Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso, who both have kids now who are into karate as well.

 

The show was to be released this year, but due to a strike, writers put their pens down temporarily, but that issue was resolved.

 

As we know, the creators had previously hinted that the series might end with season 6. Hayden Schlossberg stated, "We have an end in mind. How many seasons it takes to get there, we don’t know. We’re enjoying making it so much. If it gets tiring for us, we’ll stop before that; we have a few more seasons already planned out."

 

Season 5 ended with Terry Silver getting arrested and leaving Cobra Kai’s dojo without a sensei. A key plot point could be Mike Barnes potentially taking control of Cobra Kai as he claims a stake promised by Terry Silver.

 

Most of the cast from Season 5 is highly expected to return for the sixth season.
